Participants will be offered a unique and immersive learning experience incorporating experiential learning in a supportive and nurturing environment. This event is offered ONLINE to allow participants to experience RI-EMDR wherever they are located, held over 3 days.
Relational Integrative EMDR is an approach that incorporates principles from attachment informed EMDR, Resource Therapy (advanced parts work), somatic/polyvagal, imagery rescripting, Neuroscience & mindfulness. A mind. body & spiritual connection to create a comprehensive and holistic approach to trauma . (Please note - This is not an Basic EMDR Training - a pre-requisitive of EMDR part 1 and 2 training is required before registering).
Participants attending Part 1 can expect to learn the following outcomes and how to combine these approaches fluidly to create a holistic, creative and integrative EMDR practice that address all aspects of trauma.
Participants attending Part 1 can expect to learn the following outcomes:
Understanding the key principles of Attachment-Informed EMDR whilst developing a deeper understanding of relational trauma.
Knowledge and use of Resource Therapy (Advanced Parts Work); how to identify and work with different parts of the personality to promote healing and integration with Relational Integrative EMDR.
Understanding Polyvagal Theory and Somatic responses; understanding the intersubjective space in which the therapist and the client sits - what does it mean to be human?
Complex Trauma - practical skills throughout the 8 phases of EMDR through the lens of Relational Integrative EMDR; integrating the body, brain and mind connnection.
Growth, courage and identity as a Therapist; cultivating a sense of courage and taking risks in order to grow and develop with intention and purpose.
Training Package includes:
All learning materials such as the RI-EMDR Part 1 Manual, protocols, scripts, additional readings, worksheets as well as LIVE demonstrations and support practicums to make your experience as supported and inclusive as possible.
Participants will receive slides and scripts for the practice.
